Ardanaiseig is a nineteenth-century Country Manor House Hotel in the Western Highlands, Scotland, built on the unspoilt shores of Loch Awe and surrounded by the wildly romantic scenery of Ben Cruachan and untouched woodland.
Whether you arrive by horse-drawn carriage or touch down on the loch in a sea plane, Ardanaiseig will work carefully with you on the details of your day. For your ceremony, you have the freedom of the full 120 acres of landscaped grounds and wooded gardens, including a unique Greek style amphitheatre down by the loch, where guest seating is cut into the natural landscape. So if you wish to sip champagne with your guests on the lawn, or erect a marquee for your wedding breakfast, the hotel will happily accommodate it. Of course, you do not have to get married at Ardanaiseig; Kilchrenan Parish Church is a quaint and beautiful building, just four miles away. It was built in 1770 but the site has been home to a church since the twelfth century. Alternatively, exchange vows in the stately Drawing Room, framed by huge bay windows with Highlands views, or in our Library Bar.
A mouth-watering gourmet wedding breakfast is yours in the loch-side restaurant, where you will experience the award-winning talents of young creative chef Colin Cairns. For accommodating your guests, there are seventeen individually-designed and luxuriously-appointed bedrooms, plus the two bed Rose Cottage on the grounds. Newlyweds can expect a special night in The Boatshed, a chic glass-fronted suite on the edge of Loch Awe with a mezzanine-level bedroom looking right across the glassy waters.
