Royal Ascot 2015 fashion follow

Yesterday saw the start of Royal Ascot and the fashion stakes were high! Every year we do a round-up of racegoers and their chosen couture and millinery. The only way to start is with our fabulous Royal family and they certainly stood out from the crowd with a blaze of colour and sharp formal suits.

We love following the Royals fashion and although the Duchess of Cambridge was absent from the first race day, the royal ladies certainly gave us plenty to ooh and aah at. Her Majesty never fails to impress in the fashion stakes, and as per every previous year, she looked beautiful.

Tomorrow we will start with racegoers outfits and headpieces – be they stunning or slightly insane, but today is all about the royals, with the odd famous face thrown in.

I love Princess Anne, who is without doubt one of the most dedicated and hard-working members of the family, showing us again that she is always happy to recycle those outfits and wear something previously seen in 1991 and 2011! Although she first wore this in 1980 at Trooping The Colour! What a fabulous nod to fashion and her inimitable style.

Here come the boys 😉

Other famous faces in the crowds yesterday included Damian Lewis and his lovely wife Helen McCrory – absolutely love this dress and hat combo! Beautiful retro patterns from Helen and facial hair from Damian!

Taking a break from his daytime show, we saw a rather refined Jeremy Kyle.

It would not be Ascot with out the lovely Gok Wan, seen here catching up with Bruce Forsyth and his wife Wilnelia Merced. Wilnelia looking simply stunning and again a slightly nostalgic feel with 70’s style sleeves – so elegant.
