Time to head to Florida for this beautiful wedding in the summer sun! Meet JoAnn and Allison who tie the knot at Courtyard at Lake Lucerne. We love the yellow and grey colour theme for this, so very stylish and modern. Plus, check out those personalised converse shoes!
Big thank you to Live Happy Studio for sharing this lovely wedding with us. We hope you like the below images and congratulations to JoAnn and Allison!
Your love story…
Allison: “We were introduced by mutual friends. It was love at first sight for me but there was an affection for each other that resulted in a great friendship. Almost two years later, we went to dinner as a “pre-date” to see if it could become more than a friendship. We fell madly in love. Two years later, on the anniversary of the “pre-date”, we were married.
JoAnn proposed to me on Bradenton Beach, FL on April 3, 2015; our favorite beach. It was a complete surprise and I didn’t even do my hair. It was an amazing day and JoAnn still claims I never said yes.”
What did you both wear?
“I wore a short, ivory sleeveless dress (found at Macy’s for $44) after an ongoing search but it turned out perfectly. JoAnn wore chinos with a vest and bow tie and her beloved “rudy” hat.”
What venue did you choose?
“We chose the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne in Orlando. After looking at a few venues, the Courtyard just suited us and our style. It was tucked away, even though it is in the heart of the city. It was perfect for an outdoor wedding and indoor reception. The Dr. Phillips House is just gorgeous and the outdoor market lights had me sold. It was everything we wanted for our wedding. It is also a bed & breakfast with a complimentary honeymoon suite with the booking. Just perfect.”
Was the day how you imagined?
“The day was perfect. The weather was supposed to be dreary but the sun was shining for our day. Everything came together as planned with the help of our amazing friends. We wouldn’t have done anything differently.”
What advice would you give to other couples?
“Enjoy the planning and keep it simple. Keep everything low key and take the help when it is offered. Most importantly, only invite the people who love and support you and your relationship. Don’t waste time or money trying to make everyone else happy; it’s your day.”
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
“We spent 9 days in Europe, visiting London, Paris, and Amsterdam.”
