We love when we see couples infusing their combined love for something in their wedding. Whether that be magical fairytales or with this wedding, craft beer! James and Ben said “I do” at 32 North Brewing Co in San Diego last year. The venue makes for a unique event space, with their ceremony hosted outside in the spring sunshine. Enjoy!
From the photographer, Eder Photo: “These two gents wanted a casual, laid-back wedding reception surrounded by comfort food, good friends, and of course craft beer! They got their wish in this fun wedding day decorated and styled by their wedding planner Amy of Amy June Weddings and Events in San Diego.
Using growlers from their favorite breweries as the main centerpiece items, Amy filled them with wheat and placed barley and hops mixed through the decor to tie in the craft beer and homebrew feel. The design was kept simple with natural elements such as moss and twigs, but filled with texture in the glass, burlap, and wood placed throughout, that perfectly complimented the rustic laid back industrial vibe the brewery already has.
For food, local favorite food truck Mastiff Sausage Company was brought in to serve Hot Cheetos mac and cheese, along with Old Bay fried chicken sliders, to appeal to the east coast guests. As well as a modern day take on street tacos. Everyone loved the food, and the beer was free flowing, so the dance floor stayed busy!
In lieu of cake, the gentlemen opted for cookies, they pair great with beer! Local favorite The Cravory cookies make some delicious selections. A cookie station was styled with the multiple flavor options, along with to go bags available for guests to enjoy a sweet treat later. The thank you favors were presented at the end of the evening as guests departed. Homebrew made by the grooms and bottled with custom labels made by Ben himself. It was a fast-moving day, that still allowed the couple to be with those they love at all times, including their sweet dog Samus.”
