Today we head to the Sea Wind Resort Boracay Island in the Philippines for the stunning beach wedding of Glynis and Chris. They both met in 2015 when they were both based in the UAE. Their wedding was a mix of two traditions as Glynis is from the Philippines and Chris is from the UK.
Chris planned a romantic proposal on September of 2016 in Dubai, overlooking Burj Al Arab but after their romantic meal he then later decided it’s best to propose in the most reserved way, in their Dubai Marina Hotel balcony where Glynis happily said yes!
The wedding was held in the beautiful island – Boracay, where Glynis used to go for summer holidays as a child. The couple’s love for authenticity and nature made them choose the Sea Wind Boracay Resort, the only hotel in the island that restored the old Boracay feel with it’s native and rustic surroundings.
This intimate modern boho/rustic wedding was attended by the couple’s friends and family all over the globe. The decor of the wedding was travel themed to showcase Glynis and Chris’ love of travel.
One of Glynis’ vows was to build a bridge between two cultures and this celebration just represented an example – having the traditional Filipino garter toss and the traditional British “something old something new something borrowed and something blue” is present, a good way in building a bridge between two cultures.
We hope you like this wedding and gain plenty of inspiration!
