Renell & Laurence

We are very excited to share the stunning wedding of Renell and Laurence which took place on the 30th December 2018 at Palazzo Verde in the Philippines. Everything from the entrance to the reception looks so gorgeous and packed full of inspiration. Just check out all the chandeliers, dreamy!

From the bride Renell, “From our engagement in Iceland and pre-nuptial shoot in Batanes, our wedding journey was always surrounded and inspired by nature. Hence, we also wanted our wedding day to have a beautiful natural color palette, mainly dominated by shades of red and blue with hints of gold. We envisioned our wedding day to have a bright, clean, yet luxurious and timeless ambiance. Our event stylist, Dave Sandoval, helped bring our vision together with greenery and lots of flowers, designed asymmetrically for a more natural ambiance. He was even the one who suggested the theme “Luxe Garden” to capture our vision of how our wedding would feel and look. Our beautiful set-up really boosted the roller coaster of emotions we experienced on our wedding day, as perfectly captured by Colove Studios and Cinemaworks Art Film.

One of our favorite memories was when Fr. Jboy Gonzales, our celebratory priest, dear friend, and spiritual mentor, approached us in the church before walking down the aisle. He told us to be in the present moment, forget the stress, and cherish this once-in-a-lifetime event. That moment, we looked around and see all the important people with us celebrating our love. We believe that message kept us grounded and present. We also love how Fr. Jboy clearly narrated our love story during his homily, which helped everyone in the church better understand the reason for the celebration on that day. That beautiful homily really gave us and our guests a roller coaster of emotions. Having a personal priest, who really understood our story, made our wedding day extra special and an unforgettable experience for us and for everyone who attended. Hence, more than the ambiance of Palazzo Verde, songs incredibly played by the Leggiero Strings and Chamber Orchestra, and the amazing styling done by Dave Sandoval, our wedding day was highlighted by our beautiful story.

We also love the fact that we have a Groom’s Lady and Bride’s man. Renell has a close male friend while I have a close female friend. We both want to honor our friendship during our wedding, not be bound by the tradition of having all-male groomsmen and all-female bridesmaids. Sotts (bridesman) wore a burgundy suit (similar shade of bridesmaids dresses) while Jasmin wore a navy blue dress (similar shade of groomsmen’s suits).”
