Laudale Estate, Ardgour
Laudale House dates from 1755, on a beautiful 13,000-acre private estate on the shores of Loch Sunart in West Scotland. To create a totally bespoke wedding at Laudale anything is possible, from intimate weddings held in the house to erecting marquees or yurts on the grounds, the team at Laudale are on hand.
Laudale can cater from an informal BBQ to an exquisite 7-course menu for any number of guests at any time of the year, and as the estate is private the party can go on until dawn. Couples can bring their own chef and catering team or use the resident chef and Laudale’s staff.
The house has 10 double bedrooms, each with en-suite bathrooms, with the addition of 6 self-catering cottages which can accommodate another 28 people. There are hotels within easy reach and many sporting and leisure facilities for guests staying at Laudale.
Getting married in unusual venues is easy here as couples can get married on a boat on the loch, or a luxury cruiser out to sea, or even on Laudale’s own seaplane and what could be more romantic than taking off from the loch and swooping over your guests as you leave for your honeymoon?
De Vere Tortworth Court, Gloucestershire
De Vere Tortworth Court is a beautiful Grade II listed building, which dates back to the 1840s, located in the heart of the Cotswolds. Over the centuries the building has entertained earls, barons and even royalty, making it the perfect setting for a traditional wedding.
You can choose from The Kipling Room with original features including, a fireplace and bay windows that overlook the rolling Gloucestershire hills and the Orangery with ornate glass windows. Larger rooms, such as the Westminster Suite, benefit from floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto 30 acres of beautiful grounds.
De Vere Tortworth Court brings old-world character and contemporary elegance together to create a wedding destination full of romance. The Victorian-style mansion house is surrounded by lush English countryside and event spaces are flooded with natural light. Pengenna Manor, Cornwall
Tucked away in a quiet, secluded valley just three miles inland from the North Cornish coast lies Pengenna Manor, an 800-year-old private family home set in over 300 acres of beautiful Cornish countryside and available for exclusive use hire.
